Matt Bain
Matthew Bain is inspired by the ability of nonprofits and philanthropic organizations to create meaningful change in people’s lives and communities. After two decades as a practitioner helping individual institutions evolve and grow, he was drawn to consulting for the chance to help many organizations navigate change and translate complexity into clarity. His greatest satisfaction comes from building capabilities that continue delivering value long after a project ends.
As associate vice president at BWF Zuri, Matt draws on his experience to help higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations improve the effectiveness of their fundraising operations. His work focuses on advancement operations assessments, CRM strategy and implementation, data governance, reporting and analytics, business process improvement, and fundraising technology ecosystem planning.
Matt has held leadership roles across higher education advancement, alumni engagement, and fundraising operations, and he has presented at industry conferences on advancement services, fundraising technology, and operational strategy. He serves on the Board of Directors for BlazeSports America and is a Georgia Tech “double jacket,” holding both a bachelor of science and an MBA.
“Simple can be harder than complex.” Steve Jobs
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and their doodle. He can usually be found cooking outdoors, exploring new technology, or unwinding while listening to yacht rock playlists.
